There might be times when a passenger does not respond to your messages when you need additional information about the pickup location or when you can't reach the pickup location due to construction or road closure.
Here’s what you can do in such situations:
- Keep Attempting Contact: Sometimes, passengers may not be aware of incoming messages or may be temporarily unable to respond. Try contacting the passenger multiple times while you're on the way to the pickup location. But remember always do it safely while the vehicle is not in motion.
- Wait At Pickup Location: If no response is received from the passenger, simply go to the pre-determined pickup location shown in the Kabby app. Or as close as you can safely when there is any road closure or block. We ask that you wait at least 3 minutes for the passenger to show up or respond.
- Document Your Efforts: Keep a record of your attempts to contact the passenger within the app. This can include the times you sent messages or made calls. This information is crucial in case of disputes or to justify a no-show fee.
- Proceed with No-Show Protocol: If the passenger still hasn’t responded after your attempts and doesn't show up after the waiting period, you can mark the passenger as a no-show in the app. This will allow you to collect any applicable no-show fees and continue to receive new pickup requests.
